Today is Tuesday. Today I am thankful for the color brown. For me, brown represents the wonderful earth that God has given us, that allows us to grow trees to shade and shelter us, vegetables and fruit to sustain us, and grass to walk on so we are reminded of what it feels like to be alive, and flowers to remind us to take time to stop and smell them. Yes, these are the things that remind me of the color brown.
I am also thankful for the most beautiful brown eyes that you have ever seen, that I have gazed into every day for the last 34 years of my life, belonging to my dear husband Tony. Also my beautiful daughter, Heidi Girl and my youngest, handsome son, Phillip. All brown eyed beauties. What about you bloggers? Any brown thankful thoughts today?

I was thinking of blueberries. I love berries of all kinds, the kind you eat and the kind that grow outside that the birds eat and I love to decorate with. Sorry You didn't win the Hen Party gone wild. I will paint you one as soon as I get more canvas that size. Blessings

I am thankful for the little brown oak table that used to be my grandparents. My dad and mom got it after my grandparents went into the nursing home. My dad gave it to me after he remarried. I love it because of the good memories I have of my grandparents. It's now my little breakfast table and occasionally I bring my laptop to the brown table like I've done now. I'm also thankful for fellow bloggers like you (and your brown blog!) Hugs and glitter, Patti
I love all of your browns. I appreciate those also. Hope you are having a fabulous day. Hugs, Marty
See's Chocolates, particularly the truffles & date filled ones ... that is Heaven! & earth!
Bird food for my wee feathered friends that entertain me, bringing joy every morn as I sit & drink my tea as I visit all my lady friends.
And, brown eyes beauties with long eyelashes that go 'neigh'!
The brown wooden cross that brings me to my knees to God almighty ... as I THANK HIM for all the joy & beauty & wonders He has bestowed upon me in my life.
Hugs, PB/Marydon
What a beautiful post and a wonderful take on the color brown! My hubby and 2 of my 3 kiddos have brown eyes so I like that mention a lot! Can I say that I'm thankful for chocolate? Sorry I'm tired and a little hungry so it's the first thing that popped into my head...oh and coffee too...sheesh there I go again! I'm thankful for more than coffee and chocolate but the brain just isn't working right now...
:) T
Hi Sherry,
How lovely! And I agree, brown is a wonderful, warm, rich color. My most beloved 13 yr. old daughter has the biggest brown eyes, I can always tell what she's up to when I look into them! And I love the way chestnuts look gathered into a big bowl, not to mention how delicious they taste roasted. Then of course how can I forget a hot cup of cocoa on a frosty evening....mmmmm, brown is a soothing (and delicious!) color!
Thanks for visiting, your comments always leave me feeling really happy!
Still having a bit of trouble with this darn internet connection though, Don't know what the problem is...hope I don't get another forced break from blogging!

Brown is a good color....
HI Sherry. Brown, yes that is the colour of my husbands eyes and I have been looking in them for 50 years. All my four sons do have brown eyes and so also my grandson. My granddaughters do have the blue eyes of their mother. Allthough I am blond I love wearing brown through the winter and I have lots of clothes in that colour. My eyes are blue-greyish.
Is this enough brown/ Have a nice day
I feel the same way you do about the earth that God has blessed us with, Sherry, and I especially agree with you about your hubby's brown eyes...my hubby's eyes are brown, too, and I just love them...and him. Did you see my wedding bliss post on Saturday/Sunday? I posted some pics of us.
My daughter has hazel eyes...a cross between his brown and my blue, and son has blue, granddaughters have blue, so hubby is the special guy, with those gorgeous browns!
Oh,and chocolate is brown, Sherry...don't forget chocolate!!!

Mary

P.S I have been a little under the weather and have been missing in action...Not great for a new blogger...
My daughter has the 'delicious' beautiful brown eyes too!!! And browns, the color, makes me think of the fudgy colors of brownies with BROWN pecans and brown, chocolaty frosting. Oh now, look what you've gone and done to me. Craving chocolate I am.
Yep, brown's a great color! I think of fudge (and I see your sidebar picture), a flannel shirt (that I can't wear in AZ), my favorite shoes, the fencing that surrounds a peaceful pasture, and my daughter's eyes (through which I've seen far more than through my own hazel ones).
Have a lovely, blessed, AZ Tuesday!
Kathleen
We all have so much to be thankful for. Some times we do not take enough time to appreciate it and give thanks. My health is most important to me. With good health, most everything else will take care of itself. Some days, I am just thankful to be able to get out of bed.
Just a quick visit to say hello. Hope all is well...Mary

Oh how cute thankful for browns! I too am thankful for Phillips handsome brown eyes and not a day goes by that little Miss Destyne doesn't make it known that her eyes are brown like her dads. I wonder what color eyes the baby will have! I am so excited to find out if we are having another boy or girl! Hopefully we find out soon.
Brown also reminds me Thanksgiving, the stuffing, the turkey and I can't forget the pumpkin roll!
Hope you have a good day at work nothing new for me today just hanging in there.

Sherry, what a beautiful post. I'm thankful too for God's brown earth that allows me to grow beautiful flowers. I love the smell of dirt! LOL!
If we're talking brown, I'd have to mention my husband's chocolate chip cookies . . . I love them!
The only brown-eyed beauty in my family is Bijou. Right now she's getting into mischief so it would be a good time to go eat breakfast!
Thanks for sharing!
Blessings,
Teresa
