Up, Up And Away...

Tonight from the backyard,
I spied this. I love the palm trees
in one part of the photo,
and the dead of winter tree caught
in another. Then we have that
beautiful blue sky and the balloons.
Seemlessly floating above the earth.
So peaceful.

Just a little bit closer.
They both had big cactus on the
side of their balloons. Colorful.
Have you ever taken a ride? It
is one of my deepest desires.
I would so love to see the city
from above. A nice steady float.

I zoomed in a little closer.
Can you see it now?
These photos are looking to
the North of our house.

This is looking to the West.
A storm is brewing. Aren't the
skies just beautiful?

Assorted heights of the palm trees.
We definitely have an abundance of those
here in Phoenix. I am hoping these
gorgeous clouds bring us some rain.
SO....
Tomorrow. Take time
For yourself. Read a good
book. Let your mind wander.

As always,
thank you for stopping by,
my little piece of heaven,
here in the desert,
that I so love to call home.
Country hugs and much love,

Beautiful captures, sis. Is there a balloon show going on out there? I've always wanted to attend one. Those clouds & palms just set off the scene.

We have a guy 2 blocks down that ha his 'own' balloon & I love watching him floating about.

Calling you NOW.

Have a lovely eve ~

Hi Sherry - those blue skies look gorgeous! We had rain today and gray skies, but we need the rain and our temps are very mild, so won't complain. I haven't seen a hot air balloon in a very long time; what a nice surprise! I have a friend who got married in one. It was her 2nd wedding and she wanted to do something "wild & crazy" and that was her choice! Perfect for her!

Hi Sherry
The Balloon races will be coming this summer in Temecula... I love to watch, but need my feet planted firmly on the ground.. Afraid of heights...
Beautiful photos my friend.
Blessings,
Penny

Love all the pictures. The balloons are beautiful, but don't know if I could ever get up nerve enough to fly in one.
Great post!

Dear Sherry,

You've captured some beautiful photos ... wow! I love the contrast of the tree branches with no leaves and the palm tree. There are only stark, bare trees to see here in Ontario so it's a pleasure to look at some colour. What are you waiting for ... get up there in a hot air balloon and take a good look at the City. For me, no thanks, I'll keep these 2 feet on the ground! xox

Thanks for all your kind words on my blog about my grams. I'm glad she is at peace and in heaven. I will miss her, but am going to try and spend that extra time with my mom. I think she'll need it!!!

Hope you get to ride in that balloon sometime soon!!! I'd be so scared!!

How awesome that you were able to capture those balloons! Beautiful. Hope you got some rain. We're having some rain here today in GA. Kind of gloomy. I really want to do what you suggested- RELAX with a good book. That sounds wonderful!

Some of those pictures look like they could have been taken in my neck of the woods, but we have no blue skies today. Just dust and dreary weather. It's the weekend so I consider it pajama weather. :) Hope you are having a good week. Thanks for stopping by my corner of the world. Best wishes, Tammy

You really got some great shots of those air balloons, beautiful! Many years ago, there was a Summerfest going on at the high school behind our place and they had a hot air balloon that you could go up in. I wouldn't go on it because I'm terrified of heights but my son Corey had gone in it and took some amazing pictures of our house and neighbourhood from up in the air:-) xoxo

Hi Sherry....First I want to THANKYOU for coming to my blog and commenting on my pink luncheon. I loved everything you said and it means a great deal to me. I liked you instantly. But if you already like jo from jos this and that then we're kindred spirits already. I am really a fairly new blogger of about 10 or 12 weeks but have come to just love it. There is so much I have to learn about blogging and I do a little bit day after day. I loved reading about the trees, baloons and even oncomig storm. I am so very familair with Phoenx as I have a daughter and her family who lives there and we come down several times during the year. It sure beats the weather when it so cold up here in the rocky mountains. I read your profile and what a lovely family you have. We have one son and seven daughters and number 35 grandchild is on the way. We take great pride in them and just love to have them come when they can. I have just signed up to follow you and its a joy to be here.
