My Weekend Creations of Love...

Today I got together for a little bit of
Crafting, with my Dear Friend Julie @
I wasn't able to get together with Julie
For her Birthday, so I gifted her today.
This is what I made for her. My creation
Of Paris. I love how it turned out.

I used my Scrabble tiles for spelling out Paris.
Layered paper, ribbons and added little
Bits of jewelry throughout. I love the look.
Ooh-La-La...

A creation I am working on for a friend.
I took a canvas, painted it. Started
Layering for a 3-D affect. I made a little tutu
Out of netting, gathered it, and added ribbon.
Added bits of jewelry to accent as well.
It will be connected via little hinges to
Another canvas so that it can open
Like a book. I'll show that when my
Project is finished. I just love the cover.
Couldn't wait to share.

This is a work in progress,
I love this angel photo.
It was in a book that I have. All the
Photos are black and white. I colored the
Photo with map pencils, then went back
And added some accent glitter, and aging
Around the paper edges. This is on a linen
Book. I will show her again when I have
Completed her. I see her in my mind.
Isn't she Heavenly?

I hope you have found some LOVE this weekend,
In a new creation or time spent with a Loved One.

As always,
thank you for stopping by,
my little piece of heaven,
here in the desert,
that I so love to call home.
Country hugs and much love,

Now I know why you have been soooo busy Sherry.
OMGOSH I LOVE the PARIS book of love. You are AMAZING.
What a wonderful gift you have. Crafting with Julie must have been so much better than crafting by yourself. I think friends help in more ways than we think ; )
I've never heard of "map pencils". You did an excellent job of the angel. I think you always have "work in progress"... lol.... where oh where do you find time to do all of this plus your job?? WOW.
LOVE your new header Sherry. You are ready for a little Irish gig. I know Randy loves the "Guinness" part of it.
Randy and I shared some love on Friday. I drove him to work, had a lovely visit with Sister, we went for dinner and a movie. It was fun.
Hope you are having a great Monday my dear friend.
It's very very cold here. -1. But they say warm weather is coming, which would probably be around +8, lol. It's COLD!!!!
Love you Sherry

You are so talented Sherry! And you use your gifts to be such a blessing to others. Do you know, you sent me a vintage Santa ornament that you made and it is so beautiful...it had a special place on my tree and stays out all year long! So you see...I really do think of you often. AT LEAST every time I see your sweet gift!

Oh my word, how beautiful they are! You are one of the most talented and creative ladies I've ever seen. I so wish I lived closer ~ but you would probably lock your doors and draw the blinds. :-) Seriously, can't wait to see these finished...although I can't imagine them being any more beautiful.

I had no idea such talent was in you Sherry! This is beautiful work, it's magical and so special.

I'm so happy we connected again, life is never the same without Sherry. Your blog changes with the seasons and it's such a happy place to visit.

Out here in Washington I'm dealing with spring fever, some bumps in the road, rain pouring down but through it all, God is with us all.

My husband has been transferred 50 miles away, gas prices are highest in my town in all of Washington, plus his hours were cut to 21 and a cut in pay. The bugger that started this roll down the hill adventure was a big corporate boss that did not like the fact that my husband had to write up his daughter for poor customer service, cell phone usage and flat our ignoring the customer! As a result, he was demoted. Praying for justice for all!

So, with challenges before us, we enter into spring 2012 but one thing we know for sure. God is with us.
